March passed quietly like a flowing stream—without noise, bustle, or display—yet the echoes of compassion from Phuc’s Fund’s deeply humane activities still linger. March also marked the second consecutive month in which Phuc’s Fund’s financial situation reached a deadlock, with the balance between income and expenses tipping toward a deficit. In just two months, the Fund’s operating budget recorded a shortfall of over 300 million VND.
March is also often the time that marks the end of a cold, barren winter, when trees stand stripped of leaves and lifeless. Hue occasionally still receives the last rains of the season, preparing for a warmer, more vibrant spring. This is also when Phuc’s Fund accelerates its activities, striving to complete projects for the poor before summer arrives.
Entering April, Phuc’s Fund plans to continue conducting field surveys to renovate and build new homes for impoverished households facing especially difficult circumstances, many of whom are currently living in makeshift shelters. Alongside this, a series of other humanitarian activities await timely implementation, aiming to protect, support, and accompany those in hardship. April is also when the Relief Committee will carry out on-site assessments to provide consultation and develop plans for humanitarian programs in the upcoming summer.
Despite inflation and ongoing challenges overshadowing the global economy—and the haunting impact of senseless wars that claim innocent lives and further strain an already sluggish world economy—modest charitable organizations like Phuc’s Fund are not immune to these effects. However, thanks to the generosity and companionship of our esteemed benefactors, Phuc’s Fund continues to sustain its humanitarian efforts. Your support and encouragement not only enable us to carry on our mission of spreading compassion but also reflect a shared commitment to our guiding principle: “Help to help – spreading love through helping others.”
On behalf of the Executive Board of Phuc’s Fund, we sincerely thank our benefactors and kind-hearted supporters who have continually made it possible for us to care for and help ease, even in part, the suffering of those less fortunate.
Med Vennlig hilsen
Nguyen Quang Phuc
